The award-winning D20 opened up a new world of guitar rig opportunities in 2019 by putting all-tube boutique clean & edge of breakup tones into a compact lunchbox amplifier with a zero-compromise reactive load & impulse responses for incredible direct feel & tone. No cabinet required! 6 years later, D20 MK2 is here, featuring new voicing updates, beautiful onboard reverb, a switchable gain boost, & a new compact tolex headshell. If you need a great tube amp because that's what you love, but you're looking for the modern convenience of gear like modelers, we hope the D20 MK2 can help bridge that  gap for you, because we know it's going to serve you well for the stage, the studio, & at home.

versatile 'clean' tones

Revv's Dynamis clean tone is inspired by the classic Californian amps heard on countless albums with a few key changes. The Bright switch unlocks extra high end chime essential to so many genres. We say 'clean' tones because it has a wide gain range that can get quite crunchy but always stays together. We also took inspiration from D-style amps for a character in the mids that always cuts through.

Reactive Load & IRs

The D20 MK2 is a great tube amp to crank through your favorite cab. Do you have to use the direct capabilities? No. Will you want to? Definitely. The XLR-out provides a consistent mix-ready tone every time that still feels  & sounds like a tube amp - because it is! It works great for silent stages, recording, headphone practice & you can even edit & load your own IRs & add post-FX. 

the technical details

Unlike the original D20, D20 MK2's gain boost (which substantially changes the voicing of the amp) can be activated via MIDI or the included footswitch for '2-channel' versatility. It also includes lush digital reverb & a transparent buffered FX loop for your favorite pedals. You can switch the power section from 20W to 4W, & despite its new tolexed headshell it only weighs ~16 lbs.

We Take MK2 Seriously

We took 6 years of feedback onboard when designing the D20 MK2. In addition to the above functionality changes, we made sure to increase both the total amount of gain on tap & the total headroom. This means you're covered whether you like your cleans squeaky-clean or quite overdriven. Lots of subtle voicing tweaks help it work with a huge variety of pedals as well.

In 2019 we released the world's first Two notes reactive load & impulse response tube amplifier: the D20. In layman's terms, you can play your amp anywhere without a cabinet & get a professional miked up record-ready tone that feels & responds exactly the way a tube amp should. Now every Revv amp includes this functionality. Whether you're a set it & forget it "one sound" type of player or you dive deep into the Torpedo Remote app for mic placement, EQ, reverb, & more, you're going to love having a perfect mix-ready tone from an XLR cable every time so you can focus on the music. Tube amp vs modeler? Why not a genuine tube amp with all the benefits of a modeler? Of course the D20 MK2 is also a great traditional tube amp & you could never touch these. We think you'll want to, though!

We are happy to customize the look of our amps & cabinets for you. While we have a stock spec for each model you can readily find in stock at our wide selection of dealers worldwide, we also offer complete customization of things like tolex, chassis color, grille cloth, piping, & more! This includes a visual builder so you can see exactly what the finished product will look like. Even if you're not buying anything right now, it's really fun to mess around with. Some guitarists like black & some guitarists want their gear to stand out from the crowd. We're happy to accommodate both!
